Happy Second Birthday Carter!

To our sweet Carter man on his second birthday...

Two years ago today we woke up at 1:45 in the morning with the unexpected clue that you would be born today. I can't believe its been two years. The time really does go by way too fast when you are a parent. February 26th will always be one of the best days of our lives and we will always remember so many of the details of that day.

You have brought us more joy than we knew possible in the last two years. We love your personality with all of your spunk. You are so silly and funny and love to make us laugh. The biggest change in you over the last month is how much you are talking. I can't even list all the words you are saying now because you really can say almost anything. You repeat almost everything and so many words are very clear now. There aren't many words that you won't try saying. I have just loved watching you learn so many new things in the last few weeks. You have turned into a little boy now and nothing close to a baby anymore...except maybe the diapers :) That will be your next big transition in your life and we are not in any hurry to start.

You are definitely a two year old and we can tell by your stubborn determination. You might be just a little bit like your momma in that department. I'm okay with that! Some of your favorite things right now are Minnie Mouse (yes, you read that right, Minnie, not Mickey), juice (you ask for it almost every day even though we rarely have juice), Max, fish, your kangaroo stuffed animal, all stuffed animals for that matter, Little Einsteins, your blankie, opening and closing the front door and screen door, pushing the lock button on our car to hear the beep, trains, books, books, books, baby Mady, getting the mail, helping momma around the house, helping daddy with projects around the house usually involving tools, snuggling, laughing, brushing your teeth, and telling us to "seat" all day long next to you. Seat means you want us to sit down next to you.

We moved you into the 2's and 3's Sunday School class today at church and your teachers said you did really well. I was nervous you wouldn't want to sit for all the structured class time stuff but they said you did really well and we should keep bringing you to that class. We were very proud of you!

You are an amazing little man, Carter and we are so proud of who you are. We just love watching you grow and change but feel sad that you are growing up so fast. I want you to stay momma's little man forever. We love you Carter!

Happy Birthday to the best little guy we know!!!
