3 days past due...

Baby Carter is very content where he is at right now. He just isn't wanting to make his appearance in the world just yet. He isn't even showing signs of wanting to make is appearance. Our little baby count down on our blog now says how many days we have to go but actually that means how many days we are past our due date. We had a doctor's appointment yesterday morning and were hoping for some great news. All we learned was that Carter isn't getting ready to come out. My doctor doesn't really wanting me going much longer though. I guess there are just more risks involved if we keep waiting. We wanted to hear that we could just induce this week and get things going but that is a little more complicated than I thought. Because Carter hasn't dropped and I haven't made in progress either, inducing probably won't work. It could but there is a very high percentage that it wouldn't. So then we just go through hours of hard labor and end up in a c-section anyway. We decided to go ahead and schedule a c-section for Sunday morning at 7:30 with the hopes and prayers that he will come on his own this week. It was really hard for me to make this decision because I have always wanted to deliver a baby the old fashioned way and experience that. However, I just need to trust God and my doctor that we are making the right decision. Maybe God has other plans for Carter and he will decide to come naturally in the next few days. This has been a long waiting game! 5 1/2 weeks ago we thought we were being induced within two weeks. It's now 3 1/2 weeks later and still no baby. I am still on bed rest but I will be completely honest and say that I have not been doing it very well lately. Bed rest is really hard but I am trying to keep resting throughout the day. I sure can tell when I don't. My hands and feet swell up so big! We can't wait to meet our little man on Sunday!

A few "events" in the last few weeks

I made rib eye steaks for Jay's birthday. This was a first for me and I was very proud of myself. They turned out amazing. For some of you, you are thinking that it really isn't that hard to cook a steak. Well...for me, I was scared. I was super excited that they turned out so yummy. After dinner we went and saw Avatar.

Jay got new hiking boots for his birthday. He new he was getting them because he had to actually try them on first or I wouldn't know what size to get him.

We new this would happen eventually but we really hoped it wouldn't. Emma discovered Carter's crib and realized how cozy it is. The very next day, we found Max in there too. Now the challenge is to keep them out!

Emma loves boxes!
35 week picture. I am 37 1/2 weeks now but I didn't like my 37 week picture enough to actually put it on here. We will try again at 38.

We finally started our bathroom remodel. I really shouldn't say "we" because I haven't done a single thing to help. Jay has finished the tile floor, cabinet, counter, sink, and faucet. All he has left to do this weekend is put the baseboards on and put the toilet back in. I am so thankful for such a handyman husband. He did this all himself with some help from my Dad. I am so impressed by anyone that can just do a project like this even though they have never done it before. Thank you Jay for my beautiful bathroom!! Especially since you are already so busy working to support your "bedrested" wife. I love you!

I love our new cabinet and counter top!!!!

I will also update everyone on my pregnancy. We had a doctor's appointment on Monday. My blood pressure is doing so well that he isn't planning on inducing me next week. He just wants to take it week by week now. I have another non-stress test at the hospital Saturday and then another doctor's appointment Monday. I have just over two weeks left until my official due date. I am still on bed rest which I am beyond sick of! This week I have been a little more active because I know how well the medicine is working. I am still home almost all day and on the couch for most of it. I am getting up a little more though. I even went to school to see my kids today. I miss them lots!
