A few weeks ago we went to the aquarium in Newport. A friend of Jay's was getting married in Newport in the evening so we just went up a few hours early and played before going to the wedding. A wedding and reception with two little ones is quite stupid, to be perfectly honest. And the kids actually did really well but it is still hard. But we had a nice time and Carter loved the aquarium.
This picture of Madelynn cracks me up. I was trying to get her to go to sleep in her stroller. I had a blanket over the stroller so she couldn't see anything but she was screaming. I finally took the blanket off while we were in the tunnel that goes through the shark tank. As soon as I took off the blanket her eyes got huge and she was just staring up at the top of the glass tunnel and all the fish and sharks swimming around. It was great. She was stunned.
Carter and this fish became fast friends. Seriously, this fish didn't leave this spot. It was great. He just sat there and watched Carter.
Carter was watching the fish below us. This was a pretty cool experience for Carter.
Jay took Carter in this wind thing that made it feel like a tornato. Carter wasn't too sure about that but he didn't cry. He was very brave!
Why use a fishing pole? That just takes up precious time that I could be playing with the fish!
