Christmas #2...Christmas Morning

Christmas #2 started out at 7am on Christmas morning. I was actually happy Carter woke up a little early so we could get Christmas day started. Jay's brother, Wade, got Carter a bike that is meant to help with balance before Carter is actually ready to ride a bike. So before we went to bed, Jay put it together and had it sitting by the tree when Carter woke up Christmas morning. This may have been a mistake because he was a little obsessed with it and only wanted to play with it rather than open presents. :) He is still a little short for it but he LOVES walking around the house with it and riding it with our help. A couple more months and I think he will be able to ride it. It doesn't have pedals so that kids can learn the idea of balance so that when they are ready to ride a bike they will already have that part mastered.

Jay and I got Carter a Mickey Mouse lunch box for him to carry around his little toys. He was so cute walking around carrying it. He loves Mickey Mouse.

Christmas morning was just the three of us.

His tongue is sticking out while he was concentrating so hard. His daddy does it too :)

We put a tractor inside of his lunch box which he also loved.

Showing off his new tractor. He was super proud.

More presents! Christmas morning is when we open all of our gifts from our Iowa family. They are always so good to us and send great gifts!

He got The Elf on the Shelf from Jay's sister Nicole. He loved the elf!

Nicole did a really neat canvas picture of Jay and Carter and his brother Wade and his son Kayden in front of their dad's semi truck. What a neat gift!

Putting together his Elmo floor puzzle from Jay's Grandma in Iowa.

He loved jumping on his puzzle. His jumps are the cutest thing ever because he can't actually get his feet off the floor. And if he is able to it's only one foot off and it barely comes off the floor. I love it and I love how hard he tries!

Fridge Phonics from Grandma and Grandpa in Iowa (Jay's dad and stepmom). This is really neat and will help Carter learn his letters. He already walks around the house saying "b" and then he says the b sound. He loves putting the letters in the spot and pushing them over and over to hear the little letter song.

Moose hat from Aunt Nicole. He loves hats and this one is so cute!
Jungle animal hand puppets from mama and daddy.

And the mess...
Carter really enjoyed Christmas but seemed a little overwhelmed as well. He just wanted to play with each gift he opened rather than keep opening more. We could have spread Christmas out over a full day if we had the time. He loved all of his gifts. He got many more but I didn't get pictures of every single one. Thank you Dad, Leah, Grandma, Nicole, Wade, and Kayden for all of our gifts! We love everything and feel so spoiled, loved, and blessed! We wish we could have been with you to open everything and see you open yours! Maybe someday we will get there for Christmas!
