A million pics of Carter at the beach

We did a spontaneous day trip to the Oregon Coast on Saturday and had a great time as a family. It was Carter's first time to actually go out on the beach. We went for my birthday back in May but he was only three months old. We went to the Hatfield Marine Science Center. It doesn't cost a thing and there are lots of fish to look at. Carter loves fish. Then we went out to lunch, spent some time on the sand, and of course stopped off at the outlet mall on our way back home. The weather was beautiful, dry, and no wind! It was a perfect day.

Carter knows what a fish does! Check out those fish lips!

He loved looking at all of the fish.

Out to lunch at a great clam chowder restaurant at Nye Beach in Newport.

He loved walking all over the place.

And of course, he loved the seagulls.

He was so excited!

First time walking on the sand. The sand was pretty wet so we weren't able to actually play in the sand this time. But he loved walking around in it.

I love his chubby feet!

For the car ride home we decided to switch his car seat so that it was facing forward. He loved it for a little while and then he needed to fall asleep but couldn't, so instead, he screamed the rest of the way home. We may be putting him back to rear facing. He's safer that way anyway. He really did like facing us, he just couldn't relax enough to fall asleep because there was so much to look at. It was a whole new world for him.
